Optional Services
Berkshire Cleaning offers optional services as an add on to our existing end of tenancy cleaning services. These services are considered by ourselves to be extended maintenance however, they could fall under the responsibilty of the tenant or the landlord depending on the circumstances.
Our standard end of tenancy cleaning services covers as much cleaning as possible however, when materials and sufaces need to be renewed or when extensive repair and cleaning work is required then, this work will fall under the category of optional services which, will need to be booked as an extra to our standard cleaning checklist.
If you require any of the services listed on this page then please specify this work when contacting us. We don't guarantee the removal of the following in our standard checklist and will not complete any of this work unless we were specifically requested. The following services are subject to extra charges and our terms and conditions.
The optional services you can book as an add on to our exisiting services includes the following:
Odour Removal
Nicotine - This could include nictione (tar) odour removal due to smoking damage. We can supply cost effective services for the entire removal of the smell of nictione from your property. Cost will depend entirely on the circumstances.
Curry/Grease - Curry odour and grease damage can occur when the hob extractors in a property have been neglected and haven't been cleaned on a regular basis. We don't guarantee the removal of curry odour in our standard end of tenancy cleaning however, it can be booked as an optional add on due to the this work being labour intensive.
NB: If you would like to book our end of tenancy cleaning services and have extensive curry grease damage then please notify us first. Failure to do so could result in a refusal to complete the agreed work. If the build up of grease on the extractor is enough to cause a drip on the extractor and surrounding surfaces then we deem this as excessive.
Pet Odour - We can remove pet odour from dogs and cats that has been left in a property after the occupants have vacated. This problem can sometimes put of new tenants and stop them from taking on a property. We don't guarantee the entire removal in our standard checklist. Please contact us for more information.
Mould Removal
Wall Mould - The responsibilty for the removal of mould is debatable in the property services industrty. Wall mould can develop from damp, past problems, lack of heating and lack of ventilation. Mould usually requires specialist treatment after basic cleaning. Please contact us for more information.
Silicone Sealant Mould
This mould can permeate the silicone sealant around the basin and bath due to poor quality building materials or the extractor not functioning or not being used by the occupants. This problem requires the removal and replacement of the sealant with a better quality mould resistant silicone. Unfortunately we do not offer the replacement of sealant around glass windows, you will need to speak to a UPVC specialist to correct this.
Grout Mould/Staining
Grout staining can occur in the bathroom around the bath and basin splashback and in the kitchen behind the hob or the sink splashback. In some cases bleaching this surfaces won't work and stratching the surfaces of the grout can damage and remove it, rendering the tiles weak. We offer the service of re-grouting using grout or a grout pen as an add on the our existing cleaning surfaces.
Wall Repair
When we clean properties we evaluate the length of the tenancy against the damage and other factors such as the type of tenant. We will if nessecary remove minor scuffs and marks to walls around light fittings and in other areas of high contact under our standard checklist however, if the walls have been marked, scuffed and damged badly then you have the option of ordering this service as an add on to our exsisting checklist. This work can include the re plastering of holes, removal of excessive scuffs and marks. This service doesn't include heavy staining around picture frames, please see below.
Painting
Need wall painting? We can offer high quality painting of walls, boards and other furnishings quickly and cost effectively. Our painting is to a very high standard and covers the, preparation, paint and finishing. You may need wall painting due to a wide variety of circumstances including a lengthy tenancy, landlord maintenance, tenant charges etc. Please contact us for more information.
Plumbing
Berkshire Cleaning has fully qualified plumbing operatives. We can complete a wide variety of tasks including leaks, toilet valve replacemnt, dripping taps, pumps, rad valves, immersion heaters, sanitary ware, kitchen fitting and fitting new systems and routing of new pipework. We are able to deal with complex pipework, whether new, old or industrial.
External Window Cleaning
We don't offer external window cleaning as part of our standard checklist however, you can book this as an add on service if you wish. We use reach pole syems to clean windows and conservatories to a high standard. Please contact us for more information.
Gardening
Our gardening can be catered for you individual needs whether it is the removal of rubbish, weeding, the cutting back of overgrown plants and trees and cutting grass. We can also offer other services such as landscaping, please contact us for more information.
Patio Cleaning
We offer patio cleanng services to tenants, landlords and first time buyers. We use profesional products to clean patios twice over removing dirt, algae and moss and then thoroughly cleaning the stone by jet washing so it looking likes new.
Rubbish Removal
Our standard checklist for end of tenancy cleaning includes the removal of a small amount of rubbish, no more than one bin liner. If you require rubbish removal which, is more than one bag and enough to take to the local amenity site then we will charge based upon your postcode. We require notice to complete these services. We can carry up to 30 bags of rubbish per journey.

General Maintenance
Our maintenace services can cover a wide variety of work including the re/fixing of fixtures to walls, door handles, loft hatches, doors, and carpet fitting, re/fitting curtain poles.
